Section 01
Acceptance of Terms
By using Menujoys you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. These terms apply to everyone — diners browsing menus, visitors suggesting updates, and restaurant owners managing listings.
Section 02
The Service
Menujoys is a global, English-first menu discovery platform. We help diners explore local restaurants by surfacing menus, prices when available, opening hours, and useful local food details. We are not a delivery marketplace, a booking engine, or a review platform.
The service includes the website at menujoys.com and any subdomain we publish (for example, restaurant-name.menujoys.com), as well as content, brand, and editorial output.
Section 03
Eligibility & Accounts
You can browse Menujoys at any age in most regions. To submit forms, claim a listing, or otherwise act on behalf of a business, you must be at least 18 years old and authorized to represent the business in question.
If you create or manage an account, you're responsible for keeping the credentials safe. Tell us within 5 working days if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
Section 04
Your Content
When you submit information through forms or claim flows, you grant Menujoys a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, edit, format, and publish the content as part of the service, and to feature short excerpts in editorial summaries, newsletters, and social posts.
You confirm that you have the right to share what you submit, and that it doesn't violate the rights of others.
You retain ownership of original content (your photos, your menus, your descriptions). You can request removal at any time via the contact form.
Section 05
Restaurant Listings
Menujoys may publish a listing for a restaurant based on public information, owner submissions, or visitor suggestions. Restaurant owners can claim their listing to manage menu details, hours, and contact info.
- Each address has its own listing.
- Owners are responsible for the accuracy of details they submit.
- Menujoys may edit submissions for clarity and consistency.
- Menujoys reserves the right to remove listings that violate the Content Policy.
- Closures, rebrands, and ownership transfers are handled per the dispute-resolution flow described in the Content Policy.
Section 06
Paid Tiers (Studio & Atelier)
Adding and claiming a basic listing is free. Optional paid tiers (Studio, Atelier) are billed monthly or annually per location. Pricing and feature inclusions are described on the For Restaurants page.
- You may cancel a paid tier at any time — your listing stays on the free plan.
- Refunds: pro-rated for annual plans within the first 14 days; otherwise non-refundable.
- We may change pricing for future billing cycles with 30 days' notice.
- Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your billing region.
Section 07
Acceptable Use
When using Menujoys, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, non-misleading information.
- Respect other users, restaurants, and our editorial team.
- Not scrape, copy, or republish Menujoys content without permission.
- Not attempt to break, overload, or interfere with the site.
- Not use Menujoys to send spam or unsolicited communications.
- Not abuse the suggest-update flow to harm a competitor's listing.
Section 08
Intellectual Property
The Menujoys name, logo, design, and editorial content are owned by Menujoys or our licensors. Restaurant names, dishes, and menu content remain the property of their respective owners.
Limited, non-exclusive use is granted for personal browsing. Redistribution, scraping, or AI training using Menujoys content without permission is not allowed.
Section 09
DMCA & Takedowns
Menujoys responds to valid copyright takedown requests under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent regimes elsewhere.
Submitting a takedown
Send a notice through the contact form with the topic "Copyright / takedown" and include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material on Menujoys that allegedly infringes — full URL preferred.
- Your contact details (name, address, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Counter-notice
If material you posted has been taken down and you believe in good faith that the takedown was a mistake, you may file a counter-notice via the same channel.
Section 10
Disclaimers
Menujoys is provided "as is." We do our best to keep menu and restaurant information clear and current, but prices, hours, dishes, and venues can change at any time. Always confirm important details directly with the restaurant before relying on them.
Menus may change. We label what we can confirm and ask the community to flag what's stale. See our Data Signals section for how we surface freshness.
Section 11
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Menujoys is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including (without limitation) outdated menu details or service interruptions. Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you've paid us in the past twelve months or (b) USD 100.
Some jurisdictions don't allow exclusions of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Section 12
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Menujoys, its team, and its sub-processors from any claim arising from your content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of applicable law. We agree to give you reasonable notice of any claim and to cooperate in your defence.
Section 13
Termination
We may suspend or end access to Menujoys for users who violate these terms or the Content Policy. You can stop using Menujoys at any time. If you've claimed a listing and want it removed, contact us and we'll process the request within 7 working days.
On termination of a claim, we keep the public listing live where it serves diners (with the owner's account access removed), unless the owner specifies otherwise in writing.
Section 14
Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events outside reasonable control — including infrastructure outages, fires, floods, civil unrest, government action, and labour strikes. We'll restore service as soon as practicable.
Section 15
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are resolved in the courts of London, England — except where local consumer-protection laws give you additional rights to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.
Section 16
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the homepage for at least 14 days, and account-holders will be notified by email.
